What aspects of the patent have been reduced to practice?
In the legal sense it has almost all been constructively reduced to practice by the fact that more than 80% of the claims have already been allowed. Other claims may be allowed later. With regard to experimental reduction to practice, an important first step in the process of depositing metal stripes on a very small pitch has been published by Professor Alison Baski and her students at Virginia Commonwealth U. Baski is a co-author with me of a recent Provisional Patent along with Sandia National Lab and UNM colleagues. See #10 in the REF section for Baskis paper. The critical pictures from this work and REF. 1 are shown in Figure 15 below (not from the patent). A refinement of the fabrication process is underway for producing deep (>> 10 ) atomic width grooves of 38 width on a 53.5 pitch. The insertion of Buckyballs in the grooves to demonstrate the superconductor concept, the fabrication of MOSFETs with current in each of the two major directions, and the multi-tip field emitter will
