What, aside from feeding, has been done to help the horses recover?

The horses were deloused, dewormed and had their feet trimmed twelve days after their arrival to the caretaking facility. The horses had to be put through a chute system and strapped to a table to have this done due to the fact that most of the herd was unfamiliar with human contact. The cost of this alone was $4000.00. The Foundation gelded 27 horses. The herd has also recieved vaccinations and additional delousing and deworming treatments.
