Public comment is sought on a range of possible measures to increase transparency and accountability of the RC Content list. These include notifying the readily identifiable and contactable content owners that a URL associated with their content has been added to the RC Content list. This will be done by the ACMA, after liaison with the Australian Federal Police and will give the owners an opportunity to take down the relevant material or seek a review of the decision. Further details are available in the public consultation document on the Department’s website.
