A. PIBT recommends that students U18 stay in ‘Homestay’ accommodation, or with friends or relatives (other than family) who are approved by the parents. In addition, the person the student is staying with must be above 21 years of age, have an Australian Police clearance and must agree to act as a guardian/local carer. Homestay can be arranged by Perth Student Accommodation or NACEL. A surcharge to the normal rates may apply for U18 students. PIBT offers support and counselling to all students through its Student Counsellor and will liaise with parents regarding the welfare of younger students.
