The one-year course through Monash University comprises 4 units; 2 subjects per semester. The units are Sexual Assault Nursing I & II, Understanding Injuries and Nursing and the Criminal Justice System. Students are required to attend a workshop at the end of each semester of approximately 2-4 days. Planning is underway for nurses to upgrade their forensic nursing studies at Graduate Diploma and Masters level.
