What areas are served by the Calbayog Sanitarium and Hospital at present?
The Calbayog Sanitarium and Hospital is one of the few hospitals serving the region. The hospital serves the city of Calbayog, and the municipalities both in the upper-half Western area (including Tarangnan, Gandara, Sto Nino and Almagro) and the Southeastern area of Northern Samar (including San Isidro, San Antonio, Allen and others). We our vital to the region. With a combined population of over 500,000 people, Calbayog plays a very important role to the surrounding areas and especially to those patients who could not afford the additional traveling expense in going to other medical facilities. Moreover, as civil infrastructure improves our hospital outreach would greatly expand covering more a much larger area including up to Catarman and nearby towns that would place up to 1,000,000 people for our catchment area.
