Teachers at Levels III and IV will select from the List of Activities of higher-level instructional responsibilities each year. These activities are grouped into three focus categories: Focus I – Teacher Enrichment and Growth with an Academic Focus Teacher enrichment and growth refers to activities which will enhance a teacher’s knowledge or skill and enable him/her to be more effective in classroom instruction. District credit pre-approval procedures must be followed. Focus II – Student Enrichment and Growth with an Academic Focus Student enrichment and growth refers to activities which contribute directly to the improvement of student academic learning. Focus III – Teacher Leadership with an Academic Focus Teacher leadership refers to responsibilities which contribute to the academic improvement of the site and/or district, out of contract time only.
