What are your opinions on wildlife parks and zoos- in the us or uk/ favourites?
I do understand your thoughts about something called a “zoo” but nowadays this really is a term used for places set up many years ago, before they started to realise that by running a proper “wildlife” park they were also looking at protecting many animals that could have a very difficult time in the wild. Obviously we all would wish that these animals were just left alone in their own space ~ but sadly that doesn’t happen. In Africa where so many different animals roam, and the countries they roam in have starvation, it is sad that the people there have to go out and kill to be able to eat. I know that most of our wild life parks, have a breeding programme, and they also have an international breeding programme, which means that you don’t get the inter-breeding that occurs in the wild, but get fresh “new blood” into maintaining the species. So over all ~ I agree with the parks, they are supervised, the vets [in many cases] are on 24 hour call ~ and it makes sure that what ever the ani
