What are your opinions on the nature vs nurture theory?

I think that we can’t rely on labelling everything as either one or the other. There are probably a few things that are purely caused by one or the other but i think most things are a combination of nurture/environment and genetic predispositions. For example, you could be predisposed to weight gain and some people have genuine medical conditions that cause them to put on weight. There are probably also people who are overweight purely because of their diet and have no genetic predisposition. Finally there are people who have a genetic predisposition and their lifestyle doesn;t exactly help. Anorexia has been linked to genes (nature) and also bullying and other environmental factors. Finally we have to remember that people are different and something that may be caused by nature for one person may happen to another person as a result of nurture.

It depends on the individual. Some people are more influenced by nature, like me, and some people are influenced by nurture, much like the morons that are in this town I live in.
