What are you supposed to feed a baby kitten when its 6 to 7 weeks old?

You should continue feeding the wet KITTEN food until kitty is about 7 – 8 months old. At that time, you can gradually switch to a good grade of adult WET/canned cat food. Read the labels. The protein source (turkey, chicken, fish, beef, etc.) MUST be the first ingredient on the label. Contrary to popular belief, any and all dry food is composed of mainly corn meal, corn by-products, wheat gluten—all these things that no cat needs in their diet. Cats are carnivores and MUST have a meat source to maintain good health. A cat is not at all like a dog, which can eat almost anything (within reason) that a person can. NOT cats—they need mainly meat. Hope this is somewhat helpful to you.

I feed my foster kittens Wellness Kitten Health once they reach a month old, and by 6 weeks that is their main diet and they no longer nurse.
