I don’t have a favourite really, because there are so many amazing ones, its such a wonderful place. Did a variation on the Fairfield Horseshoe last year, went over Red Screes and down to the Kirkstone Pass Inn – summited Red Screes just as the sun was starting to go down, it was beautiful. Some of the best walks are to be found in the Eastern and Far Eastern Fells – they’re usually quieter than the more popular spots such as the Langdale Pikes and the Scafells, and the views are just as good. Staying in Coniston next year so hoping to explore some of the more remote parts in the South-West corner of the National Park, around the Walna Scar Road.
