What are Writing, Quantitative and Breadth (WQB) Graduation Requirements? Where can I find more information about them?

All students admitted to SFU beginning in the Fall 2006 semester must complete a minimum of 36 credit hours of courses designated as Writing, Quantitative, or Breadth, with a grade of C- or better to receive the WQB credits, in order to achieve their undergraduate degree. Students transferring from a BC college with 60 credit hours should consider completing some transferable W, Q and B courses prior to admission to SFU. The WQB requirements are explained here: http://www.sfu.ca/ugcr/For_Students/WQB_Requirements/. Students can find the answers to most of their questions about the WQB requirements here: http://www.sfu.ca/ugcr/For_Students/Student_FAQ.html. You should also check the Calendar in the section on the program you are interested in, as many programs will describe how students can fulfill the requirements.
