What are WorkCover industry classification rates?
WorkCover industry classification (WIC) system is based on the Australian and New Zealand Standard Industrial Classification (ANZSIC) used to categorise industries. Each WIC has an industry rate calculated using the claims experience of all policies allocated to that WIC. WorkCover Queensland has approximately 560 WIC rates, which are calculated each year following an analysis of industry experience. The WorkCover industry classifications and rates from 1 July 2010 are now available.
