What are wind generators used for?
In developing countries small wind turbines are primarily used for remote energy applications. Often the electrical grid reaches only the most urban areas, leaving the surrounding properties dependant on diesel or gasoline generators. Electricity for homes, villages, farms, and small industries can often be done less expensively and more quickly with wind power, than by trying to connect to the grid. Wind turbine systems can also be used for village water supply, and irrigation.
