What are white or Summerwhite® peaches and nectarines?
Summerwhite® peaches or nectarines, also known as white peaches or nectarines, have a creamy yellow skin with pink and red blush, and pale yellow to pink flesh. Summerwhite® peaches and nectarines are naturally less tart than yellow peaches and nectarines, so they taste sweeter. Because they’re bred to be less tart, they’ll still taste sweet even when they’re firm and crisp. Summerwhite® varieties make up about 25% of the total California peach and nectarine crop.
