Welding involves the conjoining of two different materials. In a nutshell, it is done by softening, adding fillers, cooling, and forming a strong bond. Welding machines can be classified into several different categories based on process and type of equipment used. Some use transformers that convert high voltage electricity into low voltage electricity. Welders select the output by moving the transformers center in and out of the magnetic field or from a group of taps on the transformer.
