What are Washington Aqueducts customers doing to ensure that kidney dialysis centers are prepared?

0

Washington Aqueduct’s wholesale customers (i.e. DC Water and Sewer Authority, Arlington County Public Works, and Falls Church Public Utilities) have notified the centers in their jurisdictions. The customers are working with their Health Departments in an effort to reach all dialysis patients. Washington Aqueduct is working closely with its customers to assure that all clinics and hospitals that now use or could possibly use water from its water treatment plant are able to safely treat the chloraminated water before it goes to their dialysis machines. Washington Aqueduct held workshops for its customers, sent out public outreach information packages, and will continue to provide assistance to ensure that all its customers have been reached, prepared, and are ready for the conversion.
