What are wandering stars?
A wandering star is one that is of no use for navigation since it does not keep its same relative position to the other stars. Such “restless” night lights were seen in Bible times and have since been given the name “planets” which comes from the Greek word planetes, which means wanderer. The Bible uses these planets (wandering stars) as an analogy for false teachers since they also cannot be trusted or followed because they will ultimately lead you astray.
