What are waitlists and how do they work?

Santa Clara University uses the waitlist feature of Ecampus to allow students to be added to a class that is already full. This is the ONLY way you can be added to a class if it is already full. If you are in Ecampus and find that the class you want is full, you can opt to select the “waitlist” option. After registration is closed and before classes start, the GBPO will evaluate which classes have the largest waitlists and possibly rearrange classrooms with a class that has a smaller registration. Based on the classrooms available, spots may be opened up once a class is switched to a larger room. If this happens, students on the waitlist will automatically be added to the class in the order they are on the waitlist. It is the student’s responsibility to check Ecampus for the classes they are enrolled in and drop/swap any classes they no longer want to take.
