All computer viruses are man-made and they can also replicate themselves by making a copy of themselves over and over again. Even such a simple virus is dangerous, because it will quickly use all available memory and bring the system to a halt. An even more dangerous type of virus is one capable of transmitting itself across networks and bypassing security systems. When people talk about a computer virus, they generally call different types of computer viruses, like worms or Trojan horses a “virus”. While the words (Trojan, worm and virus) are often used interchangeably, they are technically not the same.
