What are veterinarians doing to prevent antimicrobial resistance?
Veterinarians use pharmaceuticals, including antimicrobial agents, judiciously. It is important to recognize that veterinarians are trained professionals who know when antimicrobials are indicated in animals and when they are not. They also work with the producers to keep the animals healthy with vaccination, parasite treatment, good nutrition and good management practices.
