Verified Emissions Reductions (VERs) are are the quantified reduction in air pollution, owned by the company/entity that took the action to reduce the emissions. Verified Emissions Reductions are being produced through: • energy efficiency projects • by companies upgrading their plants to cause less pollution • and by clean energy sources that displace older, dirtier ones.
