What are vendor contacts?
VIS performs vendor contacts on behalf of our customers. Vendor contacts involve direct interface with plant equipment vendors, not just some form letter or correspondence. During vendor contact VIS obtains, for your plant, the most current and complete set of information that provides equipment installation, operation and maintenance, engineering details, and spare and replacement parts. VIS calls such equipment documents “vendor publications” or “Vendor Technical Documents (VTDs)”. Then, we document the vendor’s’ response in a Vendor Contact Package, and forward the new information to your plant.
