What are typical problems in Adaptive WS Model importer and how to solve or report them?
Answer • If an exception occurs during Adaptive WS model import one finds the exception and corresponding complete message incl. the environment used during import in the NW IDE error log. Use IDE menu Window / Show / View / PDE Runtime / Error log to display the corresponding IDE view. Double click on the latest entry to display the details of the importer problem: • The Message may (but doesn’t have to) contain the environment (e.g. internet proxy used to resolve host names in external WSDL URLs) • The Exception Stack Trace contains the stacktrace causing the problem. Note that the original problem is found in most cases in the innermost nested exception (i.e. the last “Caused by”) in the stack trace. • Typical problems you can see from the exception found as described above are • UnknownHostException in the stacktrace: This is usually due to the internet proxy / proxy bypass list not being configured properly in the IDE preferences so that the host name from the WSDL URL cannot be r
