What are typical injury risk factors?
Several factors can result in RSI. For example: physical activities like repetition, posture, force, contact stress; medical conditions such as diabetes, arthritis, thyroid disease, gout, excessive weight, pregnancy; and environmental/psychosocial issues such as low levels of job satisfaction, infrequent or inflexible breaks, monotonous work, limited autonomy (lack of control over the work performed), excessive work load, etc., may result in RSI.
