What are typical examples of crime scene search patterns?

Teri00 Mar 11th, 2008 There are four main patterns: –Spiral (start in the center, work your way in a spiral pattern out. Good for large, outdoor scenes with few obstacles) –Line/Lane (often done in large areas, with many people all side by side walking together, used to cover a lot of ground at once) –Zone/Quadrant (most commonly used with vehicles, where you can divide the car into zones like ‘front driver’s side’ and ‘rear seat’) –Grid (basically walking something like north and south, in lines up and down the scene, then turning and walking east and west back and forth. Allows for good coverage and searching, but most time consuming.) 🙂 Like (AliCat ABBBBS is plus 1 hr GMT likes this.) • Report No comments. Post one | Permalink Comments Add a comment…
