What are two items of clothing that colonial people wore in colonial times that are different today?

In colonial times women especially had diferent clothes. For example they wore bonets, and had petticoats and occasionally hoop skirts. They were dressed WAY fancier than we are today. And I for one am glad that we don’t have to wear that stuff anymore. That would have been a real hassel.
