Fish hooks are devices used for catching fish. As the name suggests, it is hook shaped and has a barbed point so that the fish cannot just wiggle it free. The parts of a basic fish hook are the eye where the hook is attached to a line or a base lure, the shank, essentially the straight part of the hook directly connected to the eye (this is not always straight depending on the design or purpose), the bend, the point, and of course, the barb. And as the materials used in creating fish hooks have also varied through the centuries.
