What are training requirements for vet tech?
Usually most vet techs get on the job training. You can get registered, which takes about 18 months at a community college. In my experience, most vet techs end up making just about as much as a registered tech. If I were still a vet tech, the only reason I would waste my time going to school to get registered is because I love to learn and would really enjoy some of the classes required. You can find these jobs everywhere, but the bigger the city, the more the opportunities. I don’t think it’s a job that will ever be eliminated.
