What are Trade Routes?
• Answer: Although archaeological evidence is lacking, by studying the terrain of Palestine we can deduce where people would have traveled as they walked or rode from place to place. These natural travel routes followed the way of least resistance, avoiding areas of difficulty. Even thought we refer to them as “roads,” they do not compare to our paved highways. They are best identified as “Trade Routes,” the well worn paths people followed as they moved about in and through the land. Similar overlays exist for the geography and zoom windows. The buttons for overlays are toggles (they serve as “on/off” switches). A green light will indicate that the overlay is on.
