What are tinted moisturizers?
Tinted moisturizers combine the benefits of skin care and light foundation for a light, luminous complexion. It is essentially a moisturizer with a slight tint to match your skintone, giving you a very natural un-made-up look. It also contains SPF to protect your skin from sun damage. Please note that a tinted moisturizer does not give the ample facial flaw coverage of a traditional foundation. However, they do provide a natural illuminating look instead of the heavily made-up look produced with traditional makeup. It is, in fact, a great way to cut down on the number of products in your skin care routine. Most tinted moisturizers contain an SPF of at least 15, putting three functions into one product: light foundation + moisturizer + sunscreen. A good tinted moisturizer should be able to even out skintone and hide minor blemishes while maintaining their light, breathable feel.
