What are timing imperfections?
First of all its important to be clear on what we mean by timing imperfections. Timing imperfections refer to points in the music where the music falls out of sync of what it would be if it were the “perfect” recording. These imperfections are usually not for big quantities of time. They are usually for very, very small amounts of time, sometimes they can be as big as 0.1 of a second, other times they can be as little as 0.0001. Although very small these timing imperfections can be very harmful when attempting to automate long tracks in DJ software. Usually there are many timing imperfections which means an entire track of 8 mins can not fit into a beat grid if there are 100’s of these timing imperfections.
