What are Thursday evening services like?
Thursday evening worship services were created for two reasons: 1) to offer an additional opportunity to worship for people who cannot always make Sunday morning services due to job requirements, traveling, or illness; and 2) to provide a “visitor-friendly” style of worship for people who are looking to renew their worship life, but may be reluctant to attend more “traditional” worship services. Thursday evening services are a bit shorter in duration (7:00-7:45 p.m.), and are very informal in atmosphere. Contemporary music is blended with Scripture to create a timely and relevant message, and singing is accompanied by guitar. Worshipers are invited to leave an offering in a plate by the door as they leave, but no collection is taken during the service. Thursday evening worship services are offered twice a month, including one service with Communion. Please call the church office or consult the calendar for upcoming dates for Thursday evening worship.
