Google mail groups all email messages with the same subject line creating a single conversation or thread. This means that all replies are displayed with the original email as one threaded conversation. This makes it easier to understand the context of an email or to follow the entire conversation. If you prefer not to use Google’s threaded conversations view, follow Google’s instructions on how to turn them off.
