They are very, very high voltage power boxes… I remember seeing and talking to some guys while they were changing the cords in them… The one I saw had four big round “pads”, about a foot and a half in diameter, with two gigantic cords connecting each pair… They had to use a large tool about three or four feet long to take off the large ends of the cords… They’re used to get the power from the company to the business without going directly into each power outlet… One end goes to the stores, in which they break up the power, and the other end goes to the company…
