What are these Windows XP Hotfix files?
These files are updates to Microsoft software. It’s not a good idea to remove them as your computer will then be more vulnerable to attack. However you can remove the uninstall files associated with these fixes. This will save space and providing you only install critical (i.e.security updates) from Microsoft this will be safe – as you’d never want to uninstall them. It usually frees up a LOT of space the first time you run it.
