It sounds like bird mites. We had them when a bird nested under our porch, now we have them again because a bird nested just outside my kids room. It’s a pain to get rid of, but I’ll tell you what I did the first time to rid our house of them. I hate bugs and I read extensively on ways to get rid of them, it seems the usual miticides are not working anymore. Buy some eucalyptus oil (tea tree and lavendar oil also works), the essential oil that’s pure and not diluted (I used eucalyptus oil). Pour about 6-8 drops of the oil into the wash with your clothes. The oil is like an acid to these bugs. Take a spray bottle and mix several drops of oil with water, shake it up really good and spray down and wipe everything – especially hard surfaces. Walls, furniture, everything. For furniture like couches I would vaccuum it, then spray it down with the oil and water. The oil does not harm fabrics and is safe to use around kids and pets.
