What are thematic units?
Thematic units are studied over a period of time to enable your child to fully explore a topic. During the unit the children will explore stories, language, activities, dramatic play, games, and toys, all selected to help your child with his/her exploration. It is these experiences that will help your child to develop language and to obtain the background of experience that is useful to understand future reading.
