What are the zero-length files in the Memory Advisor temporary directories? Can I delete them?
When Memory Advisor processes an object file, it leaves a copy of this file in its temporary directory. On future links with Memory Advisor, it compares the time-stamp on the processed file to the time-stamp on the original file. If the processed file is newer, Memory Advisor does not need to reprocess the file. This speeds up link time considerably. If Memory Advisor does not need to make any changes to the object file during processing, it leaves behind a zero-length file so that something exists for performing the time-stamp check on future links. You should leave these files alone. They do no harm, and they speed up future links with Memory Advisor.
