What are the XML and XSL files included in the downloads?
The XML files included with each dataset contain the same metadata shown when clicking the Details button on the downloads page. The XSL file contains formatting codes that allows the XML file to be displayed in a web browser. For those using ESRI’s ArcCatalog software (versions 8.x and 9.x), the XML file will display in the Metadata tab for the dataset, using the style sheet of your choice. To use the Summit County FGDC Plus style sheet in ArcCatalog, copy it to your ArcGIS metadata style sheets directory (typically C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\Metadata\Stylesheets).
