You would have office space with other graduate students in the process systems group, which makes it easy to find people who can answer research and course questions, and lend you textbooks. Each student is provided with a PC, with internet access and an email account (all without charge to the student). There are some ‘pool’ computers as well, which are used to store backup files, run the printers, and for longer simulations. Most of the PCs run on Windows 2000 or XP, although several are setup with a dual Windows/Linux operating system. Any software required for your research will be provided.
