What are the Woes and the when do the Witnesses come?
Revelation chapter 9 deals with the Fifth and Sixth Trumpets, which are the First and Second Woes. The Second Woe goes on through the period of Chapters 10 and 11. Revelation chapter 10 deals with the interval between the Sixth and the Seventh trumpets. This is the Angel with the little Scroll. This is the message of the Seven Thunders. It is at this time that the mysteries of God will be fully revealed. This event and the restoration of the Law must precede the witnesses. The Sixth Trumpet and the wars of the Fifth and Sixth Trumpets are past. It is from this interval that we take up the final phase of the Measuring of the Temple and then the 1260 days of the Witnesses and their period of three and a half days in the streets. The Restoration of the Law and the Measuring of the Temple are contemporaneous (see also the paper Measuring of the Temple (No. 137).
