The Service Bus and Access Control, part of the Windows Azure platform AppFabric, are web-based developer services that help make it easier for Windows Azure applications and SQL Azure databases to connect and interoperate with existing or new Windows Server assets. These services are built on Windows Azure, and provide connectivity and access control for customers with the need to integrate cloud services with on-premises systems, or to perform business-to-business collaboration. The Access Control Service provides federated, claims-based access control for REST web services. Developers can use these services to build distributed or composite applications and services.
