The USG Drywall Suspension System has been tested in accordance with Underwriters Laboratories UL 580, Tests for Uplift Resistance of Roof Assemblies for use in exterior soffits and canopies. See illustration below (p. 36 of the AC3152 system brochure). USG has 23 different grid and wind load combinations (the most in the industry) to accommodate your design parameters.
