What are the wiegand input lines used for?
The wiegand input lines are only necessary on a V-Flex reader since this reader requires an external wiegand input in order to initiate the verification process. The wiegand input lines may optionally be connected on all other Veri-Series devices, but are used typically in a smart-card based reader (such as V-Smart) to capture a wiegand sequence for purposes of storing on a smart card along with the fingerprint template data.
