THE TWO DEITIES The Goddess is generally seen as being associated with the Moon, nighttime, and the Earth, etc., and the God is generally seen as being associated with the Sun, the Sky, the living plants and animals, and the daytime, etc. An example of their union is the light of the Sun (God) shining down upon the Earth (Goddess) and the result are the plants that grow. Or another example: The seed from a plant (God) burying itself deep within the Earth(Goddess). The result is life. This last example is very similar to the union of a couple making love.
