What are the voting rules and procedures?
• Each visitor is allowed to vote once every few hours or so (but only once per day for the same site), and each site may receive a maximum of approximately 6 votes per day. The intervals between voting windows are staggered on a random basis to prevent cheats from monopolising the system. All newly-listed sites are given an initial default rating of 8.0000 (on a scale from 5 to 10). The rating is treated as being the average of 300 votes. This average will change over time as visitors submit their votes for the site. Rate scores (from 5 to 10), if less than average, are first added to (2 x current rating) and divided by 3.
