To extend a European or Chinese case to Hong Kong, two steps have to be effected: a) A Request to Record has to be filed before the Hong Kong Patents Registry within 6 months of the corresponding European or Chinese patent application being published. b) A Request for Registration and Grant has to be filed before the Hong Kong Patents Registry within 6 months of the corresponding European or Chinese Patent being granted.
