What are the values of the pKD products to the customer?
1. We supply the sequence of our cloned siRNA upon purchase. 2. Upstate supplies a homology analysis showing, if any, the possible off-target “hits”. Most of our sequences will have no homology to any gene in the human database. But in the event that homology does exist with a gene, we will list that. 3. Every plasmid will have efficacy data provided with it. This will either be in the form of a western blot or quantitative, real-time PCR data that measured mRNA levels. 4. We are providing the customer 20ug of plasmid which will allow them to immediately use the product upon receipt and not require them to first have to perform a plasmid prep to make more. 5. When a researcher needs more of their pKD plasmid, for little cost, more can be made rather than having to re-purchase the product.
