What are the ushers suppose to do?
Guidelines for being an usher 1. Smile and be pleasant. This cannot be stressed enough. 2. Try to looking neat and professional in what you are doing be early and know who else is ushering and see what you need to do, if you have a question ask someone how something is done. 3. Remember to a visitor you are the Martin Church of Christ because you are the first person they will come in contact when they come in. 4. Everyone likes to be treated special so treat those you usher special. 5. Be pro-active, as starting time draws near and the building begins to fill up look for gaps or spaces that will seat certain numbers of people. When confronted with late comers you at least have an idea where they can be seated. 6. Even if you may not be sure if a person is a visitor or not don’t be afraid to put your hand out to greet them and ask them their name as you seat them. 7. Try to work as quiet as efficiently as possible. 8. Assist older folks and moms with small children, either by holding a
